SBIC successfully launched the largest bulk carrier built in Vietnam
Information portal of the Ministry of Transport said that on the afternoon of May 11, in Hai Phong, Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Company Limited (SBIC) successfully launched the 65,000DWT bulk carrier No. 1, and at the same time held a laying ceremony. The keel of a large tonnage cargo ship of the same type No. 02.
At the Launching Ceremony, General Director of Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Company Limited Vu Thanh Tung said that the ship was built by the company for the ship owner - Dong Bac Shipbuilding Industry Joint Stock Company.
This is the first ship in a batch of two 65,000 DWT ships ordered by Dong Bac Shipbuilding Industry Company, named "Truong Minh Dream 01". The ship has a gross tonnage of 65,000DWT, overall length 199.99m, width 32.26m, total capacity 35,823GT.
The ship belongs to the largest tonnage shipbuilding project ever carried out by Vietnamese engineers and workers, and is supervised by the NK-Japan Registry.
